Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated. Just glad that it doesn't appear to be anything major.

How many hours labour should i be looking to fork out for, to change both gaskets?

Its a pretty simple diy fix, but if you don't want to do it yourself budget for not more than an hour at the garage.

Turns out the gasket was nothing to do with the problems I was experiencing with rough running.

Changed the coil pack, dizzy cap, rotor arm, leads and plugs as well as the gasket and shes back to running sweet again! In fact, I swear she's running better than before!

Phew...and it only cost me £150 to put all that right! Bargain!
