rear arb is part of the rear beam on the lesser/lighter golfs so doesnt need a bush.

imo poly bushes are poly bushes so get the kit you posted up and buy the extras i posted up from rally design (superflex bushes i think), that way it will cost you under a ton to do the lot. your only difference might be a bigger front arb bush? which i think you can get from powerflex or bore out the one in the kit

honestly dont think you need the arb kit. just think how much use its had over the past 18yrs? i bet there like chocolate by now   for the cost, i just doubt the poly bushes will make much difference

what you need are uprated arbs. i have the h+r kit. look standard, come with poly bushes, and make the car handle like a dream

Cool. These last three replies are the answers I was looking for so thanks for your input. I'll order those from ebay and fit them, then make up the rest I'll need later.

Thanks guys!

WTF! Your very wrong about the roll bars being like chocolate (take one off an old car sometime and see how wrong lol). Unless the diameters of the bar have changed, they wont get softer. Even after years of use they wont have waisted down by very much at all (maybe a tad but certainly not enough for you to notice lol) and they certainly wont have yielded. You do have a point about fitting uprated items, they do make matters better, though if the guy is relatively happy with the handling as it is they may be a bit OTT and bushes will probably make a small improvement.

id avoid the bugpack ebay items. cheap for a reason. there too hard. darnpiston, you have a quality car. treat it to some quality items.
i had them on my mk1, and there just way too stiff. no give whatsoever giving a very harsh ride. what are the roads like in spain?

i believe the g60 has a thicker arb than gti.but i think it tapers to a smaller diameter at the ends for the drop links. gti size.

all im saying is do it once, do it properly. as said arbs make things safer, and with a g60, with all that power, youll be going around corners quicker too. my h+r's made a night and day difference

I have not ordered them yet, but have sent an email asking questions about them. I think though I may go with powerflex or superflex. (Probably the same company.)

These are the ones I have fitted to my Golf here - bought and fitted in Nurburg, when the 'ring ate my wishbone bushes.

its psychological, in reality there is f**k all diference between brands (i have used bugpack, powerflex, superflex and bonrath on my golfs in the past btw), so if you want to waste your money get the powerflex ones in their pretty boxes, if you want value for money get the bugpack kit and buy the extras from rally design.

lol at paultownsend saying bugpack give a harsh ride, they all do! if you want it comfy stick to rubber bushes

veedub your right i cant really compare, because one was a mk1 gti, and my current is a mk2. both had weitec fixed rate -40 dampers/springs. both had h+r roll bars. only the chassis were different. but i can remember the difference before and after on both cars with both sets of bushes.but....i liked my mk1 that way.

dont the bugpack items have a rear insert rather than a full bush?
