I must say I'm surprised Illyun. Respect for owning up though. I reckon spit and polish will be a fair bet for a repair, but it won't be cheap! Is the alloy just dented or is there any cracking. If it is cracked you'd be better off with a new one.

firstly, its just a wheel, no big deal, everyone is right, you could of hurt someone.

anyway, if you hit it that hard its probably too damaged to be repaired, buy a new one.

I think you would probably be best off with a new wheel.
Good to hear that nobody was hurt though!

I had Red Bull in the car and the heater was on - didn't occur to me to turn the heater off and have a can of red bull which normally keeps me going for a long time although I very seldom use it.

silly boy, you could have blamed the wife

I have the same alloys as you (black CH with red lip), they are a custom job and not the same as the current CH black edition, the new ones have small holes in the middle in between the bolt holes, have a look at an advert and you'll see what I mean

It means you might be able to source a single older one and get it painted black and then a red lip painted on

the red on mine started to fade to a pinky colour and pretty sure yours will do the same
I rubbed the lip of mine down to the alloy and then laquered the lip, so they look more like the newer ones now, I also tried painting one all black but prefered the siver lip

............also get the tracking checked.Last winter i hit a patch of black ice & the front near side alloy  hit the curb  at a very slow speed & the tracking was knocked out so i would get that looked at.

:embarassed: thing is I can't even recall falling asleep.

I'm sure you'll now be taking greater care in future. Respect for owning up and posting about it!

:afro:

Respect for owning up. I don't think so it seems from reading this the OPs main concern was getting his alloy fixed. Respect would come from posting a warning about drving while tired and not moaning about a busted wheel.
