A typical clown this one is. Don't be surprised if he drops in a line later on to say "I'm sorry, I made it up".

For now just lol! ;D

i have a mk2 8v gti and i have easily managed to beat gte's and gsi's no problem i think they do 0-60 in about 9.5 seconds so i dont think that a 1.3sr could come anywhere near m8!

lol. What a stupid, ill informed claim to make. At the end of the day it's a nova, I can't really say i've ever seen a nova which is 'quick' in my life. Oh and how the hell is a 17 year old going to afford to insure a Gti of any sort?

This all sounds very familiar....I think I've seen this nova.

Nova driver, where you the one on the seafront last year, bent over your bonnet with your trousers round your ankles while your mum sorted you with a strap-on? burberry cap? lots of argos catalogue gold on your wrists?

You should really try and do that kind of thing back at the trailer park with your cousins/sisters.....

nuff sed freak.

(if you really exist which I doubt...) 8)

I have raced one of my m8's who used to own a 1.3 nova SR in my mk1. We were going down some back roads near my house, I?m doing about 50-60 and he is all over my arse. After about a mile we came to a dual carriage way section, so I let him pull along side of me just so I could look over laugh at him as I dropped it into third at which point he started to drop back and disappear into the distance. To cut a long story short when I cane to the next island he must have been 1/3 a mile away! The funniest part was watching him in the rear view mirror trying to take the last island and ending flipping off the road into the nearest hedge. :D

At the end of the day, speed isn't everything.
Sure the MK2 GTi is a hot hatch, but its a classic in pretty much every respect. I dont think arguing about how fast you go, or who you beat really compliments the car like you should.
I'm sure all you true MK2 enthusiasts out there know what i'm talking about. The feeling you get just by sitting in the car while it is off.
