either are very good cars,
ive owned both now,
8valve was very competant but if your coming from a punto gt then you got to go for the 16valver as you wont suffer as much of a performance hit.
they are both very relaible cars as well, sooooooooo much more relaible than your punto gt!
have you got tuning in mind?
8valves are easier to tuine but you will get good results from both when tuned.
by boring out both you could easily achieve 190+bhp for the 16valve and about 160bhp from the 8valver.
a 190bhp 16valver would be pushing 0-60 in 5.5 seconds
i kno as the guy from c and r in nottingham has got a 16valver that he has bored out to 2.2 litres, its fookin amazing mate
