I agree with it I am afraid. If your a liabilty, then you should be penalised, I don't need my insurance to be whacked up by some Michael Scumacher wannabe! Save the wreckless driving for somewhere safe or a racetrack. It is a little extreme but its what they are doing. They carry this out in Croydon and cars do get confiscated because these people are driving like tw@ts.

funny thing about this is that........... the other day in the local new paper the sentinal a bloke wrote in and said that he was cut up by a bloke on a mobile phone and he started being abusive when the bloke complained......

so he says he rang the police to report the dangerous driver..... only for the officer to say well for us to prosocute you need to tick 3 boxes!!!!

1. have registration number, colour of car etc etc
2. be prepared to give evidence in court!
and the 3 box said witness statments!

and so he didnt get any statments and so couldnt continue!!!!!!!!

i think theses new powers are only targeted at ''boy racers''

but at the end of the day they need ''proof''
and ''evidence'' if you said to the police i'm not having any of this take me to court......... unless they had hard evidence of you driving dangerous like video footage etc.......... the court would throw it out!

99% of the time police dont use theses new powers and even when they do the courts dont use there powers either so............

criminals get away!!!!! and the pros very rarely get caught!

Thats fair enough. I was very stupid yesterday  I had a moment and I was unaware of the car on my nearside (I was on the outside lane of the M3) and he was in my blind spot. I was distracted and almost caused and incident. I would have cursed if that was someone else. I won't be doing that again for sure.

These laws are good if used properly. However, people who just moan will. They will report anyone who dares overtake them when they are doing 20MPH in a 40MPH zone. These people are the worst drivers.
