I'd have to say mostly stock with subtle mods such as a billet antenna, carbon mirror covers on stock mirrors, Definatly owered by 40mm with some tasteful alloys. No big chunky alloys with chrome and lights. as for interior how about an alloy golf ball shift knob, alloy mirror adjusters, alloy door lock pulls and TT pedal rubbers. Basically just improving on an already great motor. As soon as I get the extra money or time i would like to get rid of the twin tip sebring exhaust that sticks out 6 inches in the rear and go with a Jetex system. Only thing I don't like on my car at the present. :)

I like small bumpers, big bumpers, mint and modified. What I dont like is this constant bickering about what other people drive and its from those members that don't actually have any interesting input to put into the site.

At the end of the day we all drive the cars because it is a product with character. VW make cars that are fun to drive and have a certain something about them that makes you go out driving for no real reason other than to have fun.

Also since the early days of the beetle the scene with VW's has been good and I am proud to be part of that on here and at shows. I sometimes think to myself that its not really more than a car and then I see how many other nice golf's are on the road and think it is "more than a car" its a culture.

Sorry to rant but I wanted to air my views.

Stock mostly, but mod if done tastefully.

In my loft I've got Max Power magazines which I bought back in 1994 / 1995.  At the time I thought the cars featured were great and the modifications were on the whole pretty  8).

These days though - it's difficult to see exactly what the original cover cars are they are buried under so much plastic and stick on carbon fibre.  It could be an age thing, but there certainly is a lot of poo type quality modifications out there.

Personally - buy stock and then modify to taste if required.

You can't have a constructive discussion with people that don't know what they are on about  ;) :D
