that english custom polish sounds like the sh!t...

It took me 2 hours per wheel but it looks great I used auto metal pollish.

What ever you do don't use the spray wheel cleaner that is for alloys it kills split rims!

is that Auto glym metal polish?

couldn't find anything useful in Halfords and am scared of killing the splitties!!!

what do you use to polish them, a cloth or something abrasive?

p.s. met a guy called fish in south london on saturday who is a g60 nut, shoehorns supercharged lumps into just about anything. He reckoned he knew your car and referred to the "dead shiny BBS split rims"... ;)

Yeah auto metal polish, use a soft cloth but you need to rub hard. A screw driver
with the cloth over to get between the bolts etc...

After the wheels had sat in the garage for 8 months, it took 2 hours per wheel and we did
it 3 times to each wheel, but now once a month and just 1 go is fine and they stay looking good.

i don't think i know him but with meeting people at shows etc.. you never know.

Sounds a bit cheap?

cheers G6dub, had a feeling there was going to be a serious bit of elbow grease involved :-\

worth it though for sparkly wheels  ;D


Question - Obviously your rims are chrome, but what about the rest of the wheel? are the centres chromed or just sprayed silver? mine are gold at the moment and are a bit too bling for me..... I want to get them either chromed or sprayed silver.
