removed and cleaned out my Throtle body today and cleaned the plugs( they were a bit black which normaly means that it's running a bit rich. Put it back together and to my suprise it has made a noticeable difference.........

Still a bit slow though!!!!   :D :D :D

When VW paid for my new throttle body, HT leads and sparkies, I noticed a big difference.

Plus the injectors make the car run alot smoother too ... those were free, try em, might give u more ooomph... did for me.  ;D

Well u can goto VW and get "Quantum" HT leads

Or U can buy Magnecore 8mm HT leads. (Dunno about the mk2)

Im running on Magnecore's now... supposed to give ya 1-2bhp... but thats just what I read.

Magnecore leads (if available for ur car) will be around ?40 but if I remember correctly, for the 16v there about ?100... must be different sizes and stuff...

As for Quantum... dunno, got em free and still have em in the garage .. emergency backup.  ;D

Yeah if they is black and sooty normaly too rich, if they is white and chalkey its too lean a nice creamy colour ( like Baileys) is what you want. Oh and if they is black and oily you is right royaly F**ked.
