new tyres
« on: 06 December 2008, 14:53 »
hi all,

have got michelin pilot sport ps2 on the back of the motor and have got a nail in one which needs replacing (unfortunately it cant be repaired),
will replacing just one tyre on the back make any difference to the balance etc.
the other tyre is nearly new.

dont really want to buy 2 if i dont need to.

does 150 a tyre supplied and fitted sound ok?

cheers chris

how much tread is on your other tyre? if there is only a couple of mm difference it shouldn't make too much difference

that price does sound very expensive tbh  :undecided:

Hi, as long as the other is in pretty good shape it should be ok to just replace the nailed one, I take it that the damage is either on the sidewall or on the edge of the tread?? when you say its not repairable. Price for new one sounds a tad on the high side to me.
Good luck
