as most of you know after my engine rebuild i havent felt happy with the car, i decided to take it back to the garage today, as ive now done 500 miles and its feels sooooo under powered!!, i went out with the diagnosics bloke and he agreed it did feel not as it should (annoying as they should have checked this before my mrs picked it up a week last satyrday!!) , and way he said hed pug in and see if any fault codes were showing, which they were, the inlet camshaft postion sensor had a groung fault, so luckily i have another from the spare head, so a qucik 10 mins swap and wahey! its back, feels nice and smotth and powerdelivery is now even all throughout the rev range, just have 1 'ticky' tappet now, but ill live with it till my funds are up again (as cost me ?1k to get running again!!) and hey to top it all off i was ready for burning the bloody thing on tuesday, some old boy lent throught the driver window to talk to the mother in law and lent on the glass! 'crash' window fell into door! thats my window reg gone on the driver side now!!
usa style metal clips and cables on order for tomorrow ?30 all in for one side! (better than the ?200 vw charged me to fix it last time!) so it will be a door strip tomorrow then hopefully it will never happen again!!!
