Just got my gti 16v yesterday, however a few little problems, when i turn the cars ignition on i get 1N 000 or 10 000 displayed on the trip computer thing, also the abs light doesnt come on at all (havent had a chance to c if it works) and airbag light doesnt turn on.

Sounds like someone has disconnected the abs / airbag unit to stop it from being lit up for some reason or another!
Take it out and see if its plugged in or not.

IN000 is the service reminder code, it can be reset easily enough, theres a guide on how to do this in the maintenence section.

The reason your ABS and Airbag light dont come on is probably because some one had either removed the bulbs or unplugged the unit  beacause they have a fault

will the diognostics port tell me is there is a problem with anything like that? also had a look behind the warning lights and there is one wire that has been cut, but i connected it and checked the bulb and still nothing.

Yes diagnostics will check both the abs and airbag system.
