Air Con Controls

Whilst checking out the Mk5s currently on Autotrader I've found a car with I feel has the wrong air con controls.  I.e. rather than the three dials that have buttons in their centre and have a spinning collar they are basic dials.

Can anyone comment on the reasons why?  Is this a sign the car is an import for example?  All the other cars I checked appear to have the correct setup.

Must be an import as all GTI's have digital climate control as standard in the UK.

Bloody foreigners :rolleyes:

That would be why its £15k for a 08 with 5k on the clock. Faaar too cheap imo.

Could originally be an Irish car as those don't come with the climatronic as standard/

Not to be too picky but if somebody cant be arsed cleaning a car like this before selling in then they either dont give a crap about how they look after the car or they were in a real big rush to sell it!!! On the other hand maybe all ok but its still alot of money!  :shocked:

I also reckon its an Irish car. Digital climate control isn't standard on GTI's here would you believe - its an €800 option!

EDIT: Just noticed its got an MPH speedo, so its not Irish after all.
