Coil pack recall, car booked in.

I emailed them at 13:33, got a call back at 13:49 saying my car was eligible and i'm booked in this friday, offered me a courtesy car as they want the car for about 5 hours.. amazing service! really impressed

Just so you know, apparently it only requires a 30min slot for inspection (including any replacements if required)

Well the women on the phone told me I can drop the car off at about 8am and pick it up for 1pm, so I don't know why they want it for 4 plus hours

Mine is in at Des Winks Scarborough.
Wish I had known as my other Golf played up a couple of months back I paid £140 for a set of Bosch ones
That's also a 2002 AUM model

I kept the good ones, and managed to get this one running, so will take it easy till I get to Scarborough.

just had mine done today called in to my local one in durham on friday and they booked me in straight away but they would only change 3 ,but its better than nothing plus they valeted my car so happy days

Had a coil pack fail on the weekend (114,000 miles), called up VW Chelmsford yesterday and now have 4 new coil packs fitted on my 53 AUQ

Page 7 indicates which coilpacks wont be replaced - this was back in 2009 though

I had the G variant in mine and they got replaced for a set of D's
