Do you need to park in their garage? i'm assuming that there is a driveway bit before the garage? what about just parking on that?
Nope - the front wheels of the car would be on the road! The area's a bit dodgy these days. The car could get scratched, vandalised, stolen etc.
Oh I just noticed that you said youd come back from a nightshift - so i guess they were fast asleep.
Well I slept for about four hours (during a week of nights, I can only manage about four hours per night so I'm exhausted by the end) then drove up.
I'd just echo what the other guys have said Stealth! After all, you haven't had it that long have you?
Two months.
Stealth i have an inch either side of my wing mirrors and literally have to park it with in 1/2 inch of the buttress on the side so as i can get out still and be able to shut it.
Me personally if i was finding it wasn't in my capability's then i would just find somewhere safe to park it.
Dont sell your car dude just learn from your mistakes.
The garage entrance is wide enough to allow the car through without touching the mirrors but the entire garage is a bit narrow - I can't open the door and get out coz there's only a six inch gap between the door and door frame when open. Never had this problem with the fiesta.
As for reversing, normally I'm fine so long as I pay attention. Back down south, the flat I live in has a garage not much wider at the entrance (though much wider inside) so I've been reverse parking into the garage ever since I've had the ED30. Just wasn't paying enough attention and a little too eager to get parked and go inside.
simple answer, get the parents to move house!, end of problem!
