really sad to hear this mate but ive been in excactly the same position and with me it was the best decision i ever made......ive always dumped all my money into my cars and an '88 mk2 XR2 TURBO and £12k later then a 4x4 cosworth and £18k later then a 325 bmw and £8k later then a gto twin turbo and £6k later then a m3 and £20k later then another cossie and finally my evo5 things had to change realising id spent £70k modding + buying/running/servicing my cars seemed stupid but hard to fight so sold my pride and joy evo5 when we were told at my work that overtime wud be drastically reduced car went thing is the overtime didnt drop whatsoever i was abit peeved of but it made me realise theres more to cars in life i bought the golf 1.8 aum turbo have done some moddest mods and left it at that!!! ive more money in my pocket my house is nicely done up and my new girlfriend spends more quality time with me!..........eventho im getting another e46 m3 coupe in 2 years (slight mods only).....what im trying to say mate is if u can keep the car and garage it or if u have to sell it do it but it might be a blessing in disguise etc.......either way cracking car and goodluck with everything n keep smiling dude

Ash bro, this is a sad day. 

Your car has always been a fav of mine since i got here, seeing it at shows and knowing the amount of work that has gone into it is pure heartache to see it go to waste.

I hope you get things sorted mate and that you dont have to break the beast.
