Poorboy's Diamond Showglaze
« on: 12 October 2008, 19:04 »
Hey everyone!
Been a while since I've posted on the forum!

Its my birthday soon and I'm gonna ask for a few more cleaning products to add to my arsenal

I was thinking about getting
Diamond showglaze
SS1
Exp Sealant

All from poorboys

I have run out of Super Resin Polish so will the diamond show glaze be an acceptable replacement?
What are peoples opinions of the diamond show glaze?
After ed38 I saw a few alpine white mk2s and mine seemed to be a bit duller than most :(
So I'm hoping these products will bring it up to scratch :)

My basic bodywork detailing method would now be-

Wash and dry
Clay / megs step one paint cleaner
SS1
Diamond show glaze
Megs step 3 wax (I know people don't rate it, but I quite like it  :undecided: )
Exp Sealant

Is this good?
Any opinions would be much appreciated :)!

I wouldn't put a sealant over a wax! If you like the megs range get the megs next tech was as its a sealant and a wax!

Also if you want a good glaze, megs number 7 and also clearkote range is amazing!!

The best sealant would be jetseal101 (works on everything glass, metal, plastic etc)

If you want a dedicated wax then i can highly recommend swissvax onyx, although this will be best for a white car

or

Read my guide in the stickies for advise on the method to clean your car and also the correct steps

Thanks for that :)
I have read that stickey, I just got a bit confused as to what point the glaze should be applied?

If I was to buy that Megs glaze
the poorboys ss1
The clearkote moose wax
And the sealant

Would I still need a polish?
So the basic order would be-
Clay/megs paint cleaner
SS1
SRP
Megs show glaze
The sealant
And then the Clearkote moose wax?

Like I say, I've read the sticky, I was just a bit confused as to what stage the glaze is added?

Cheers for the help

Poorboys ss1 is a polish and the megs is the next step - the glaze (adds the shine back)

Yeah your bang on that time!

Polish to restore the piant
Glaze to restore the shine
Sealant to seal it in
Wax to add the final shine and seal

Brilliant
Thanks for the help!

I just realised, when I said Poorboys SS1
I really meant Poorboys SSR1  :embarassed:
Because I didn't write it down properly  :embarassed:
Are we still talking about the same thing? :)

Btw, those are some fantastic results in those pictures!
Thats pretty much exactly how mine looked compared to the others! (before and after)
