What you want is Acetone, go to your local chemist. Its what they put in Nail Polish remover but lots stonger. I actually phoned the number on the back of the aersol can and thats what I was told to use.
So I bought some and it came of easily

ahh thanks mate. I don't have the can anymore as I gave it to a friend. As I did a poor job of spraying the lights in the first place I'm going to try and remove it all and then re-do it after the MOT as it covers me and will hopefully look better in the end

The same paint applied over the top then wiped off can work, don't know if this goes for all paints though.

I couldnt be bothered to remove it in the end so I just left it on for the MOT and it went through no troubles
