i also had the same problem on my digi 8v after a clutch change and it was the earth wire from the battery to the gearbox was broken , renewed it with a new ecu cos the bad earth had fried it and was just pouring fuel into the car

If you turn the ignition on does the fuel pump prime then stop ?? or just keep going ?? if it keep's going i would think you have a fried ecu

have a good contact for recon digi ecu's from america for $200

hi,

it's a 16v k-jet, so a digi ecu wouldn't be any good to me, thanks anyway.

the fuel pump is priming normally, running for 2secs then stopping. the original fuel flooding problem was caused, i think, by repeatedly turning it over to get it going after a head rebuild. and also possibly, a 5th injector or WUR problem, as the car seems to start with these unplugged.

i've read on here that a few folk are running with these unplugged constantly, i'm guessing with no effect on running or performance.

am setting ignition timing / idle / and CO up properly at the weekend, once my timing gun arrives. then i'll be looking at WUR / 5th injector.

thanks for all replies,
james.
