hi mate, with the recent economic down turn etc etc lol..##
it works out cheaper to buy s converted mk2 nowadays than build one IMO.
Yeh 2nd that.
I just bought one last week! Spent ages trying to find a donor car, then looked at getting all the bits.
Buy the time you have done all that, its not worth it.
I mean i paid more for the M2vr6 then id have done if id had built it myself. but if u take into account the time and hasstle. then its just not worth it, unless u happen to have a dead mk3 vr6 laying around!
Have a look on mk2VR6.com
http://mk2vr6.com/board/viewforum.php?f=15Got all the info u need there! YOud be better of finding a corrado, as u need the subframe, cos the mk3 golf frame is not an exact fit.
also u need to decide if ur keepin the 4 stud, or "wide track" it with the mk3 hubs and arms! but this limits the wheel choice.
also your golf wants be be a late car, really after 1991/92 as the wiring looms marry up. its a pain in the arse with an earlier car apparantly.
So as said go buy one. i know a cracker for sale at the mo, its black, and i think has one of the fastest N/A vr6 engine in the country? i can pm u his details. its the best one out there at the mo for the price.
Theres also one out there which isnt hpi clear!! but again pm me!
