Exhaust heat shield fixings
« on: 06 October 2008, 08:23 »
Hi, hope someone can help. I was just under my car this weekend and i have sourced the knocking noise when i drive and its the heat shields. The disc shaped fixings have rusted away and have allowed the shield to come free. I have looked endlessly on the net for this part but cannot find them anywhere does anyone know where i can get them from? Thanks in advance.

Yeah I'd just whip it off man, min is starting to get loose so it will be coming off.

I did it on my mini once... the hand brake used to get nice and warm which was good in the winter to warm my hands on as the heaters didn't work!

or go to the stealer and pay 17p per clip.....(oh yeah if you do remove the shields don't remove the one near the plastic fuel tank!!)
