How much is it worth then?

Got a friend of mine who is looking to sell her 1998 Mk3 Gti 8v (3dr), it's done about 115k, pretty good nick overall and not modified. I think the cambelt's fairly recent and general servicing is up to date. No clonks, rattles etc, standard suspension & exhaust. No a/c, just sunroof.

I'm reckoning on about £1100 tops although she's said she wants £1300 which I just don't think is realistic in today's climate. No photos I'm afraid as she's only a casual acquaintance. Any ideas guys & gals???

£1000 to £1100 tops  with the way the market is at the moment.

As a guide I paid £1800 for mine in March, 5dr 8V with a genuine 56k with fsh on it.

I paid £900 for a 3 door 8v, with air con, full service history, 1 OLD lady owner from new. No mods. sub 100k miles....

And that was this time last year.

I would put it up for £1100 and be prepare to take 990...

I cant sell a 1998 8v Mk 3 for anything at the minute!

Ive advertised twice at about £1100 and had nothing at all.

Cars in good nick with AC etc etc etc

I reckon im gonna be lucky to get £900 for a 1998 so a 1993's gotte be down at £600-£800?

Its definatly a buyers market at the minute obviously not good if your selling I had a proper touch when I brought my MK4.
