Jesus, there is a serious amount of pure sh!t posted on PistonHeads. The simple fact which they have got completely wrong, is the fact that the 265PS S3 engine has its own specifically re-inforced crankcase and bed plate. This is NOT shared with either the Ed30 nor the Cupra. However, my guess is that just like the cars used in the official Seat Cupra Championship, the cars will actually use the S3 engine in the Cupra body, and tune it appropriately.
Agreed about the cr@p on Pistonheads but that's just typical of internet forums.
I reckon it's just a re-mapped Cupra in the same vein as the 240bhp Golf GTI they released over there. I'm guessing here (any Dutch members confirm?) that VW and SEAT in Clogland use the same importer which isn't directly owned by the mother company like here in the UK.....
