Hi, is anyone booking Hullavington or Keevil for the end of September/beginning of October?
Has anyone been before, what’s it like?

Not been to Keevil yet but done a few days at Hullavington.
If you're going with Motorsport events its a very good well run day with plenty of track time.
I'll possibly be booking another day towards the end of this month / early next month, depends on the MOT and what date the wife can get off.
The days are very relaxed, very safety orientated, and very addictive. If its your first time then I suggest you book a 20 minute lesson which will cost you £20 but well worth the cost. You can book and pay for this on the day.
Hullavington has 2 straights where you can get up to about 100mph, 2 or 3 tight second gear corners, and the rest is third and 4th gear driving and cornering. (Obviously faster if you have something better than a Golf).
Make sure you have plenty of brake pad material left, recently changed brake fluid, and give the car a good inspection for leaks and loose items. Make sure your fluids are all topped up and go and have some fun. There is no pressure (only by yourself) to go faster than you or the car can handle, and all overtaking is by consent and fully explained beforehand, so you should never feel pressured or fell like you are holding anyone up.

Cheers

Paul

Hi,
Yeah, I’m going to book with Motorsport Events and it will be my first time so I was a bit worried. I think I’ll book a lesson and perhaps I’ll see you there.
Ross.

Did you go in the end? We're booked in to Abingdon on the 17th of this month.

Hi,
Had a great time. The lesson was a big help and would recommend one to everyone who’s new to track days.
There was a super quick Ariel Atom and Rage Buggy on track that looked amazing fun.
Going to do some work on my brakes in the next week or two and hopefully get back out there soon.
Ross.

Glad you had a good time, sounds like you have caught the bug!! The weather was good yesterday so you were lucky with a full dry day.

Changing the brake fluid is well worthwhile if you are going out on the track. Dot 5.1 is a worthwhile upgrade in fluid or something like the ATE super blue.

Cheers
