Opinions on some winer wheels please

....Of the two I much prefer the first and don't like the second - Too fussy and a bit chavvy in appearance.

I'm visiting Pristine tomorrow to inspect their wheel finishes. I'm fed up with the white worm issues on the Diamond-Cut Monza 18's but don't agree with losing the GTI's distinctive Monza design style, so they'll be stripped and refurb'd and powder-coated.

Firstly on thread, of the two designs I think the top one is best BUT as they're winter wheels you really ought to be looking for something easy to clean as it's not pleasant spending 3 months sat in puddles for hours on end scrubbing multi-spoke wheels. Been there done that and nearly got the piles to prove it 
Getting hold of some cheap 17'' Monzas would be my option (easy to clean and OEM, can be fitted with spacers to fill the arches a bit) and getting them finished in dark grey or black. Just my humble opinion and something I'm considering doing to my car this winter, funds permitting, to save my BBSs.

@ Robin, I had a set of Monza IIs re-furbed a couple of years ago by Pristine. The wheels were finished to a pretty high quality and I still see my old car about and they still look pretty okay (keep in mind here the car is now mostly driven by a young female LOL).
The finish was quite different to OEM though, the diamond cutting was more obvious and the grey was slightly darker.
The diamond cut looked more like grooves and reflected the light really well so I was quite happy but you couldn't have gotten away with just one wheel done for example, you'd have had to do the whole set.
Having said all this it was a couple of years ago now almost so they may have changed their spec.
Thumbs up from me to them though. 

I have been thinking about the cleaning of these wheels and have convimced myself that in the winter the car is just about always dirst so it wount look too bad on black wheels  :embarassed:  In a perfect world i would get some used 18" monza's and get them done in black at pristine (or Spin n polish ) but like i said i will be getting these at a very special price   

Anyone got skills on Photoshop that fancies putting some on a black 5 door could earn themselfs a beer

im no ooooooooooooverly into black wheels, however those do look good, as do huffs...

I think the key is in getting decent centre caps?!

I agree, the red lip looks best on white and red though.
