I vote yay too.
The biggest issue as you say is the semi circular indent on the bonnet.
But if you have some accident damage for example then it'd be worth doing.

Some horizontal slats design would widen the car visually very nicely, maybe even just 1 slat?
Never been a big fan of the VW badge (ducks for cover) esp the larger version on later cars.

Debadging without filling in that gap is a complete disaster
but if its filled in it looks quite good  :smiley:
