i had a few things since i bought it, just trying to remidy them one by one.

fitted new igntion switch wednesday. hopefully to fix my battery drain problem & to be able to wire my head unit up so that when the key is removed the stereo turns off. instead of having to do it manually like it was when i bought it. this is what made me think to change the switch, when i bought the car, you could take the key out, tap the ignition barrel and the stereo would come back on. also probably putting the rest of the electrics on.

today i put the relay in. i have a problem that every now and then while driving at a constant speed it would out of the blue cut the engine and the oil light would flash. id either have to take it out of gear and put it back in to bump it. or turn the key off then re start it.

yesterday before i fitted the relay i went to my grandads and on the way when accelerating off a round-a-bout it cut out. so i took it out of gear and put it back in as usual to get it going again. on the journey back it also cut out.

today i put the relay in. went to my grandads again same journey. there and back & it hasnt cut out yet. and hopefully wont. its only 10 miles each way so its to early to say if its fixed it but...

soon as i put the relay in and started the car i noticed straight away that it started better. before, id turn the key. it would fire up & the revs would go to just below the 10 then after a second or two rise just above the 10. after fitting the relay it fires up straight to just above the 10 and stayed there. no fluctuating.

so fingers bloody crossed its sorted!  :undecided:
