I have seen it done with some kind of wire wit a wooden handle on each end

Yea i asked my local windscreen fitter to take it out of my old one and put it in my new one but he said he would need a heated wire and even then its dodgy so he said rarther tan spend £60 on labour trying and failing just spend £95 for a new one fitted :grin:

cheers for the help,but i wont be collecting that £100!! the glass was smashed within 10 minutes.  :grin:  :grin:
