Can anyone here make a list of all the trims and engines  EG  1985 cl 1.6 l 75 hp  gt 1.6l 100 hp  gti 1.8 l  117 hp....etc for all the model years of the gti  FOR UK AND FOR USA.   i need this for buyer information as im gonna replace my current gti.  and this guy i wanna buy the new one form dosent know if its a gt or gti as its his sons,  the badge says gt,  but the badge looks like its fomr an mk3 so might not be accurate.

I may be wrong, somone correct me please if i'm way off the mark! But I thought the 1.6 driver was badged up as a GT on the continent ???

Just been thinking, it don't happen often! If you're not sure what it is check the reg document, that'll tell you what spec it is & what engine its got.
