Highline Computer, what have I done?
« on: 03 September 2008, 10:05 »
Hi

Finally got my replacement GTI from Listers. I got a Black Edition 30 DSG with paddleshift, 57 plate, touchscreen satnav, multifunction steering wheel, centre armrest, 6 disc CD, Ipod connection in glovebox, parking sensors, cruise control and winterpack.

Absolutely love the car, but still learning what buttons do what.

Anyway I was tinkering with the highline computer last night and i seem to have done something to it. When I scrolled through it originally with the menu button, i got, MFD, settings, Audio, and Navigation.

When I scroll through it now, i onlt get MFD then settings. I know I am probably being stupid, but what have I done? Why do i  not get the Audio or the NAv anymore?  :embarassed:

Any help would be appreciated, as this is doing my head in a bit.

Is the head unit turned on?  If it's off then it will get skipped as you describe.  Not sure about the nav but if its built into the head unit then would be the same.

Glad to hear you got the replacement sorted.

I think Clive is correct you only get the menu options when the headunit is on, also the RNS-510 Touchscreen nav it takes a while to start if the cards been off for a few hours which also stops the Highline display from showing until it's full booted-up.
