Engine Transplants
« on: 27 June 2004, 21:42 »
Anyone got any real prices for engine transplants?? Work they've had done?

Am a bit dubious of ads in the mags, as some seem to be ?1000s cheaper than others!

(am running a 2l8v at the mo, but it aint enough!! Also tempted to get a respray,, but think power is more of a priority to me at the mo!)  ;)

Eyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Welcome to the site mate.

TBH if you could find someone from this site who could do the job for you it would cost you a hell of a lot less then getting a so called garage to do it. At the end of the day the choice is yours/piece of mind with garages etc but remember a lot of people on this site have breathed vw's for years so cant be that bad.

Prices will always vary with what else you want done or what else needs replacing whilst there at it. You supply engine it might be cheaper.

Few ideas to get you started.

Yeah?! ;D

Cheers for the feedback mate..

Well that's sound.. Am WELL open to offers of work from anyone if I find an engine!! (anyone?!)   ;)

I f*cking hate taking my car to garages anyway! Most of 'em don't give a sh!t despite the fact my car is my pride and joy..

Eyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
