Brake Lights
« on: 22 May 2008, 21:37 »
So one of the bulbs went in my break lights, so i popped down halfords for a pair of bulbs, gradually this month i have replaced all of those bulbs in the rear.

I see these ultra bright ones, that are for brake lights, and thought, o right, cost not much more, buy these then.

So i stuck one in the side that was broken, so i could compare the ultra bright to the standard bulbs, now i know that they are tinited gti rear lights, but jesus!!! Its a wonder no1 keeps driving into the back of us, i could hardly see the standard light, and the "ultra bright " ones were hardly that bright, more standard, but yeah!! Brake lights are hardly visable!!!

CRAZYY!!!!

Maybe the bulbs you had originally were bad quality ones thats why you noticed such a difference. Mine seem more than bright enough but then i do have all red rear clusters which might help.

Maybe, i just thought it strange, also becuase the brake lights are right at the edge, its hardly IN YOUR FACE IM STOPPING, so that combined with poor bulbs dont really make it all to great.
