braided hoses(goodridge)
« on: 16 May 2008, 14:47 »
needed to buy some so went online as you do, had a look at a few sites and i could not believe the price difference between some companys. i wont name them but one company was twice the price than the one i ended up using, they are both very well known companys but one was just ripping the p!ss. so my advice is to always shop around before buying anything

Thats because Goodridge don't give much discount unless you buy something like 500 hose kits a month... thats why I never bothered selling them

i hardly think that is a reason why one company was twice the price of the other

The standard trade discount is 15% now (it used to be 33%), while large orders command more discount. The company that gets the bigger discount can charge less than the company that doesn't

Also, Goodrige offer 2 qualitys of hose...the cheaper ones use zinc plated steel fittings while the more expensive ones use stainless steel fittings
