"Alignment Kits"
« on: 06 May 2008, 15:09 »
Was reading the demon-tweeks catalogue over my mate's shoulder the other day at work and saw these-
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductList.asp?cls=ROAD&grp=RP038&pgrp=RP118&tlgrp=RP118

Alignment products to realign your wheels and return it to the normal set-up, after lowering, I guess anyway.
Has anyone had any experience of these?
Are they any good or is it more sensible to get your alignment done at a garage as per usual?

Had a quick search and couldn't find any info on these products

Is it all a load of rubbish?
That was my first opinion anyway, until I saw they were by Eibach, which are fairly reputable  :undecided:
So what's the general concensus? Any good or not?

Ta

well yeah they work, but not the sort of product that would return it to factory set up. they are only for certain cars as well so its not like it'd be applicable in all cases. the bolts shown are just concentric to be able to dial the front camber in. these were actually available on the mk1 golf i seem to think? might be wrong but they have been about for ages anyway!

Ahh I see.
I just posted that link to show all the products. The Eibach toe and camber adjustments have mk2 options for about £30 both together I think off the top of my head. My internets not loading the page now

Guessing its just best to get re-alignment done at a garage or something then?

yeah all they do is minor adjustments. if you want to fully sort a significantly lowered car you'll need alot more than a few bolts!

I'm probably just gonna go with a small drop of like 30mm, but even so I guess it's best leaving it to the experts
Just wanted to know if those alignment kits were recognised as useful!
