removing a wheel nut..

Need to remove a wheel nut to change my alloys, but one won't come out, think its rounded, any ideas on removal..? was gonna take it to a garage and get em to air gun it off.

hammer a toughened splined socket on it.
thats how i got my old locking nuts off when i lost the adapter.

Good old hammer, smaller socket and a blow torch get medievil on it! :wink:

thats how i got my old locking nuts off when i lost the adapter.

you need to make sure it's tough though.. i went through about 3 trying to do this on my locking nuts when the guy i bought it off didnt have the key anymore.

in the end i spent £20 on a kit to get it off which had about 4 different sockets with a backwards thread made out of super duper metal. Hammer it on, twist it anti clockwise and it shreds the bugger orf!

Managed to get it off with a six sided socket, hammer and a bar....thats after another tyre place tryed and failed with an air gun and some five sided sockets. :smiley:
