Your symptoms could point to your brake master cylinder being on its way out! brake fluid could be leaking into the servo, and from there being sucked into the inlet manifold....

any other symptoms of brake master cylinder problems? what should i look for?

as i said in the first post, the smoke/steam didnt smell  :undecided:


I don't think a semi will give the same results

Check your brake fluid level! could be that its only the odd drop getting through at the moment, so mark the fluid level with a pen, and check on a daily basis
Brake fluid should be changed at least every couple of years, as its hydroscopic, meaning that it can draw water from the atmosphere, this can then lead to rust damage to the internals of the cylinder, and creating the leak, If you do suspect and confirm that the master cylinder is leaking, change it for a new one ASAP..
