Handling
« on: 15 April 2004, 00:01 »
I just bought a Mk 2 16v in oak green G reg in oak green with 103,000. I think the car handles fantastic with the standard suspension on it and toyo proxes all round. My mate thinks his escort ghia si handles better as it has a bilstein kit on it and goodyear eagles F1s. Would anyone agree with this?

Weight distribution has a big a part to play as what shocks you have, so I would say the 16v was better.

What I will say for the Ford owner is that his choice of tyres appears to be better than his choice of car, Eagle F1's are the nuts. Excellent dry/wet grip.

best way to test his handling is to find a good roundabout and see who can go the fastest around it........!!!!!!! ;D
