gear boxes?
« on: 26 April 2008, 11:30 »
Does anyone know how to rectify a sticky 1st and 2nd gear change. When I am giving it full beans in the Rallye the gear change is awful (when driving normally it is great).

Is it a gear linkage or would a rebuild be required?

My 1st 2nd on the G60 is a bit fidgity, I am yet too look into it, but I suspect it is the cable or the mech on the top of the box.

Could be worn engine mounts letting the engine move to much when you're giving it beans

There all solid mate. I will look at the linkage as I have been told it is highly likely to be them. Give it a go!
