Alloy Refurbs- Recommendations Please!
« on: 30 April 2008, 16:03 »
Been umming and arring for a few weeks now whether to replace my alloys with 18" Monza's or keep the original 17"s and get them refurbed.
Anyway, based on various threads on the forum and my own experiences(ride comfort, performance etc) I'm gonna stick with the 17"s. That being the case can anyone recommend a good refurb company in the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire area?
I've used a mobile local guy in the past that basically fills, smooths and sprays on the premisis, but I feel that the type of finish on the 17" Monza's would be better served by a true proffessional.

Depends how much you want to spend.. a 'true professional' I expect may want in the region of £200+ to refurb them, I had mine done for around £45 per wheel by a place down Ascot Drive (Fire Station end, behind the scooter place) and I am happy with.

Hi mate, have you had a look on ebay lately, some cracking Monza 2's with tyres, not originals i know, but decent price and tyres could be sold on if you want to choose your own.

Just a thought bud, hope it helps.

Chris.
