Where is the connection for an alarm?
« on: 08 April 2008, 17:07 »
I think my Golf previously had an alarm fitted to it (there are two little black cylinder things at the top left and top right of the windscreen).

So if I was to go looking for remote central locking units (as I only have central locking atm, and want remote), where about would I find a connection to the Golf's security system?

P.s its a MK3.

if its your standard vw alarm system dont bother. Mine packed up so i had to take it out and rewire the ignition. Just incase that has not put you off remove the lower plastic shelf under your glove box and you will find it screwed to a heater hose on the right just behind the heater controls.

I don't think mine has an alarm on atm, but I intend on getting one on it whilst I'm doing the remote central locking, so how do I go about that? lol!
