Tick-tick sound behind dash.

Hi Friends

Recently bought 1989 Mk1 GTi Cabrio and am trying to sort out a few issues.  Can anyone help, please?

1/ Ticking sound somewhere behind glovebox (I think) which gets faster with increased speed.  Speedo cable, maybe?

2/ Fitting VDO gauges requires oil pressure T-piece.  Anyone have specific details e.g. thread size, supplier part number etc.?  Where does temperature guage pick up signal?
