engine conversion
« on: 09 April 2008, 19:04 »
Hi i've got a mk2 golf gti 8v and its running the original digifant engine. ive found an engine for sale and was wondering if it would work. the spec of the engine is this;

-Overbored 1800 8v k jet engine to 2008cc
-83mm bore
-long stroke crank
-Kobelschmit pistons
-rebalanced crank
-new main, big end and small end bearings
-gasflowed pb coded cylinder head with enlarged ports
-new valve guides and tappets
-piper ultimate road cam (bp285)
-Four branch stainless manifold
-sachs sport clutch
-new genuine gaskets, housings and pumps
-new cambelt and tensioner
included is a 8v gearbox, loom, ecu, ALL ancillaries!,
its a k jet engine running digifant injector seats and ancillaries, in fact it still has the complete digi setup attached to it!( inlet manifold, air flow metre, ecu, loom, lternaor water pump all belts, injectors, distributor etc etc)

My question is would this work? Is it actually possible convert them from k jet to digifant? Any help would be great
Cheers Daniel
