Exhaust fitting advise..
« on: 03 April 2008, 17:55 »
Hi Guys,

Just got a new jetex cat back for my mk3 16v.

I havent looked under the car yet at the original exhaust but i was wondering if anyone has fitted one.

When i unpacked the new exhaust for a look there are 4 small tubes with a compression type of slit down the length.
Can anyone tell me what they are for!! lol

If anyone could direct me to any pic of the underside of the mk3 gti i would appritiate it, it would be helpfull to have a look

Any help appritiated.

Thx

Jetex exhausts tend to come with reducers to enable larger bore exhausts to fit cars that would normally have a smaller bore eg. to fit a 16v exhaust on a 1.4

Ahh that make sense, couldnt think what they were for. Doah!!

I suppose i would not need to use them then as i think the exhaust should bolt straight on to my 16v.
