Pulleys on mk3 short block

I have a 2.0 mk3 bottom end in my car and the ancilliary pulleys are different than the mk2 1800 (according to pics in haynes), does anyone know the procedure for removing these as i need to get the lower cam cover off..   or should i post in the mk3 forum?!! :undecided: Cheers

What's the motor code?

My 2E (long-block) has four bolts in the end of the crank pulley and then allen key head bolts in the other pulleys.  All pretty easy to remove.

Yea its the pulleys that run the p/s and alterator that i want to remove, just need to know if once i remove the four hex bolts the pulleys slide over the big spline type bolt in the middle... if you get me?!

they should slide off when forced a little.  to remove the lower cam cover i think you only have to remove the main crank pulley dont you?

Yes, you do need to remove that lower pulley, and yes you will only need to undo the four bolts to get it off.

You may find you need to 'wiggle it, just a little bit' to get it off, once the bolts have been removed.
