when i fitted one to my mk1 it split the grill a little when using tappers, so in the end i just bonded it on

unless you use a small drill bit and pre-drill 2 pilot holes where the self tappers are gonna go...obviosuly making sure the holes are just big enough to take the pressure and allow the tappers to seat themselves

Use a bonding agent as well as tappers unless you're lookin to take it off in the future. I lost a number of grill spoilers in the past whilst bombin it down the motorway!!! I prefer without now... saves me £20 a pop!!!
