LOVE THE TURBO BUT SUMTHIN KEEPS BUGGIN ME!!!

My sister has got a 1999 Turbo which is lovely to drive, however i find the rear suspesion especially hard. Everytime the rear wheels hit a bump or a pothole you can really feel it. It came with a detachable towbar which i was thinking may be causing the problem. Does anybody know if the GTI's with the detachable towbar comes with harder springs hence the hard rear suspension?!

might be the bushes? i know when mine was serviced they said the bushes were knocking on the front and back which can cause a harder ride when hiting bumps etc? might be that?

i've had a look at the bushes before but they seem to be fine. There is no knocking just a very hard ride in the back. The front suspension is fine hence thinking it may have harder springs...

imo upgrade the suspension its always a good idea anyway and a perfect excuse

I would if it wasn't my sisters ride but i'm not forking out for her coilovers!!! I just want to know if changing the the springs will work!!!
