i replaced my whole driver exhaust for a manifold and boxes from a 8v, and downpipe from a g60, and it blowed badly, especially when driving near walls or other cars, even more than the old system.
so i went to an exhaust man, and he told me that maybe it's because the tailpipe holes are horizontal and quite close to the ground, so the gases hit the road. (my backbox has a single outlet to which a double pipe is welded, don't even know if it's the original thing)
so he cut the tailpipe and left it with the holes more vertical, and suddenly most of the noise has gone, and i even think the car pulls better.
