dashboard lights problem! help!

Hi guys,

Recently installed my head unit, after it, the dash lights for the heater dials and the rear screen demister arent working anymore.

although, the A/C button next to it is lit up!

also when i press the non lit rear demister button, the orange square light comes on and it does demist the rear screen.

I took the front of the dash apart to see it if was a wire broken or crushed but nothing obvious was broken or torn or disconnected.


Is there a fuse for this section of dash that could have blown?

Or would it be about 5 bulbs that have gone at once?

or a wiring problem?

Is it easy to replace heater dial bulbs? anyone know what size green bulbs i need? easy to fit?

I need to do the same! - Ive heard its a bit of a nightmare to the bulbs!

The bulb isn't green, it's a clear LED with a green filter around it (least it is on my 16V)

You really have to take the entire unit out which is a pain, but you'd probabaly get away with just dropping the switches out (rear screen, A/C etc.) & undoing the 4 (?) screws so  you can drop the unit down. Might be enough space to get to the bulb but not 100% sure.

Sounds a bit strange that you lost the heater controls & the switch as they arn't connected?!

they all worked before my new headunit was in...

now the heater dials dont light up, along with the words "air condition" and the rear demister symbol.

Next to it though, the a/c buttons are lit up.

All the controls function properly like the fans and the demister (the orange light even comes on when pressed)

but just the general illumination of them doesnt work.

I took the entire front of that unit off the other day to see if there were any wiring breaks or anything but all seemed to be fine and plugged in in the right places.

the only thing i can now think of is bulbs?
