wear on bolsters
« on: 07 March 2008, 10:20 »
Hi guys,
Anyone else with the cloth seats notice that their bolsters on the drivers seat starting to look a bit tired/worn? Especially the bolster on the seat back, next to the door.
Mine's just a year old and only got 9000 miles. I wouldn't say its completely worn or knackered or anything, it just looks a bit tired and certainly if I was a fat fecker or didn't look after the car as well as I do, I'd imagine they'd look a lot worse... I would have expected the fabric to be more hard wearing than this!
MK8.5 GTI Clubsport. Moonstone grey. Queenstown 19’s. DCC. Harmon Kardon sound. Pano roof.

my last one was looking tired after 12k - if you looked closely you could see that the part that is in contact with clothing etc as you get in and out was wearing.  I would love to see one at 50k!

The dealer told me he had replaced a cover on R32 with cloth trim after 20k as it had worn through.
