Well no.

One of the bolts supporting the little lower panel also supports the front panel. So when you undo the lower panel you have to replace the middle bolt you remove.

The big bumper cars do not come with this panel and you have to remove it as said above to fit the fogs.

cheers all.

the bumper is now on and looks well. but me being a dumb ass, i now need big bumper wheel arches cos the ones i have dont fit and look cack. time to look in parts for sale section.
one more thing. does the 2 front wheel arches from a big bumper jetta fit on the golf mk2. another scrap yard has them near me. i will get them if they fit.
